THE UNESCO GLOBAL GEOPARK LABEL IS INTENDED TO ENCOURAGE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVES IN A GIVEN REGION, IN THE FIELDS OF SCIENCE, EDUCATION AND TOURISM.
The UNESCO Global Geopark programme is an extension of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals adopted by the UN in 2017.
BUT WHAT EXACTLY IS SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT ?
