What do you do?
"La Véritable Moutarde de DION is the brainchild of two friends, a farmer and a jeweller with a passion for cooking and all kinds of crops.
The concept is simple: "From seed to mouth". We grow, process and distribute mustard.
All 100% Belgian (apart from the salt). Each recipe is made using local ingredients.
For example: when there's no more rosemary in our gardens, the Honey-Rosemary recipe runs out... It's as simple as that!"
What were your reasons for being awarded the "Famenne-Ardenne UNESCO Global Geopark" label?
"The visibility of the Geopark outside our region is well established. It's a great opportunity for our young company to present our vision of local food production with strong values.

Are you committed to sustainable development and eco-responsible practices?
"No glyphosate.
We make it a point of honour to use ONLY local products (with the exception of salt), so we don't use exotic fruit, spices from the other side of the world, artificial colourings and so on.
We have opted for deliveries in returnable crates instead of single-use boxes.
Our vinegar (Belgian) is currently delivered in 10-litre cans (for practical storage and production reasons). Any surplus cans are offered free of charge on social networks to give them a second life.

Stock is usually gone in just a few hours!
The labels on our jars are made from paper that can be easily removed with hot water. They too can easily find a new use.
