What is it you do?
"We use both time-honoured and modern methods to produce liqueurs, pékets (fruit brandies), aperitifs, syrups and custom products. We revive ancient, sometimes almost forgotten, recipes from the time-honoured heritage of Walloon spirits. We sell our products through a store that stocks only items produced in Wallonia. In 2016, we were awarded a silver and gold seal of quality at the International Fruit Brandies and Liqueurs competition in Metz."
What prompted you to seek "Famenne-Ardenne UNESCO Global Geopark Partner" status?
"We are keen to defend and promote our region. We work hard to preserve these ancestral recipes, rooted in the Walloon culinary heritage, and to ensure that they are handed down to the future. Our aim is to offer our customers a local, or at least a Walloon, product that combines quality with respect for the environment.'
What is your approach to sustainable development and environment friendly practices?
"We re-use as much of our delivery packaging (cardboard, boxes, wood, pallets, etc.) as possible, and we sort our waste. Also, we involve local communities in and around Marloie in tasting days and learning how the products are made, as part of Apaqw open days."
