What is it you do?
"We run a fish farm, using traditional methods of farming rainbow, brownand speckled trout. We work on short distribution channels only, delivering to order to restaurants and private customers."
What prompted you to seek "Famenne-Ardenne UNESCO Global Geopark Partner" status?
"Obviously we are keen to promote local produce and local trades generally. But we also want to raise public awareness of the need to defend and protect our waterways. We organise visits for school groups and explain to the children about how our river systems work and the importance of biodiversity."
What is your approach to sustainable development and environment friendly practices?
"We practise reasoned production. The feed we give is compatible both with fish health and the quality of the environment. We breed for an optimum population density. And we operate through short channels on both the production and the distribution sides."
