Wellin, located near the gateway to the Ardennes, boasts a rich architectural heritage among which the village of Sohier, one of the “ Most Beautiful Villages of Wallonia”.
In this tiny village, the houses - most of which were built in the style that is typical for the Famenne - all bear a striking resemblance to each other, and we wouldn't blame you for thinking that they all belong to the same family...
During your stroll through this minute yet picturesque village, you will encounter so many hidden treasures, you won't know where to look first : the many scenic views of the surrounding landscape, the old village school, the Saint-Lambert church and, last but definitely not least, the castle hidden away behind a leafy screen.
The council boasts many architectural treasures: the Saint-Remacluschurch in Wellin, the lovely village of Froidlieu that numbers several beautiful farmhouses, the old public mill in Lomprez, a once fortified village that used to be overlooked by a medieval castle, as well as many other architectural treasures dotted around the countryside...
