Partnership?

On 17 April 2018, our Geopark was officially recognised as a UNESCO Global Geopark. Oneof our projects is the creation of a network of partners to the UNESCO Famenne-Ardenne Global Geopark. Such partnerships offer undeniable added value and help to raise the profile of both the project and its partners (museums, attractions, local produce, trades, restaurants, accommodation, etc.).

Becoming a Famenne-Ardenne UNESCO Global Geopark partner means:

·a unique opportunity to contribute to developing and spreading the word about this beautiful region;

·showcasing and promoting operators or activities at local, regional, national, international and even global level.

Partners entering into a Partnership Agreement are making their contribution towards promoting the Famenne-Ardenne UNESCO Global Geopark and developing its regional identity. They are also signing up to a commitment to quality essential for the region's sustainable and economic growth and are invited to join in other recognised quality initiatives ('Wallonia Quality Destination', 'Bikes Welcome' and more), as appropriate.

Through their commitment to and engagement in the Famenne-Ardenne UNESCO Global Geopark development project, our partners are instrumental in raising the profile of our region, and of the warm welcome, range of accommodation, museums and attractions, local products, traditional knowhow (and more) that we have to offer.

A further aim in developing the network of Famenne-Ardenne UNESCO Global Geopark partners is to be able to offer UNESCO visitors a combination of quality services, activities and products embodying the values upheld by UNESCO.
