What is it you do?
"The Lorette cave is a vertical or pit cave, featuring a lengthy descent towards the underground river, opening into a vasthall known as the Sabbath Chamber. At this point in the tour, the release of a miniature hot-air balloon from the floor of the chamber offers a striking illustration of its impressive height. The site also houses the Val d'Enfer museum, devoted to scientific and tectonic research carried out in the cave and its surroundings."
What prompted you to seek "Famenne-Ardenne UNESCO Global Geopark Partner" status?
"The Lorette caveis of particular geological interest because it happens to lie on an active tectonic fault line. Teams of scientists monitor this and other phenomena. The cave visit itself is mainly vertical, with some very impressive sections."
What is your approach to sustainable development and environment friendly practices?
"We are obviously committed to sustainable development and eco-friendly practices. One of our energy-saving initiatives has been to replace the old lighting system in the cave with LED lighting."
