What is it you do?
"Le Mont des Pins is a Social Tourism Centre offering 304 beds and a standalone gîte that sleeps 50. Its aim is tourism for all. The centre is situated at the foot of a hill renowned for the beauty of its chalk grasslands. The buildings blend harmoniously into the natural wooded setting. The target audience is schools and families, but also corporate clients and banquets. The centre is equipped with large conference rooms."
What prompted you to seek "Famenne-Ardenne UNESCO Global Geopark Partner" status?
"We are extremely proud of our region, our local producers and our tradespeople. We make every effort to introduce our guests to them."
What is your approach to sustainable development and environment friendly practices?
"We are very proud of our Green Key label, and do our utmost to make our guests and our staff aware of waste sorting, saving energy and other eco-friendly practices. We work with local producers and tradespeople on sourcing the majority of our catering products (bread, meat, cheese, etc.). We also work closely with the various tourist attractions in the region in order to offer our guests a variety of local activities (visit 'packages')."
